Annual Beach Trip
Aside from horse showing, one of the big highlights of each summer is our annual trip to Long Beach, WA. Each trip includes two nights at Naytura Haus, an AirBnb-type rental that can accommodate up to 6 horses and riders. We have both youth and adult groups, and spend the days riding, swimming, playing on the beach, eating meals together, sitting around the camp fire, and exploring the darling town of Long Beach. Each session also does a beach photo shoot, which has become a big highlight of the trip. Beach Trip dates are announced in December or January, and are carefully planned around show season dates.
team Parties and Events
Part of having a fun team environment means we love to celebrate and be together! IEA shows often include team dinners, main season shows include pizza parties on schooling day, and team dinners throughout the week at longer shows. We love our annual high-jump competition (AKA “Chase Me Charlie”), and costumed lessons throughout the week of Halloween. Year-end awards banquets through LWSC and WSHJA offer opportunities to dress up together and celebrate a great show season, and the GDE Christmas party is always a big hit! We are always coming up with new ways to have fun together and enjoy friendships built around our mutual love of horses.
